Our Managing Director, Steve has 40 years of experience in the insurance and financial service industry. Steve started out at Aviva where he worked for 5 years before setting up his own practice in 1985. Steve at that time had a drive and ambition to build a successful practice delivering transparency and good honest advice, a testament of which is that the vast majority of those clients from 1985 are still clients to this day.

Steve still retains the passion drive and integrity but the role he is most proud of is that of being a husband for 37 years and a father to Olivia and Joshua, and more recently a Grandfather to the beautiful Arabella.

Steve’s ability to think strategically, anticipate challenges and plan several moves ahead has been a defining characteristic throughout his career in financial services. These qualities have also played an important role in his interests and achievements beyond the financial world.

A talented chess player from an early age, Steve represented his country internationally and, at just 16 years old, was ranked ninth in the world for his age group. His success in chess demonstrated the analytical thinking, discipline and forward planning that would later become central to his approach to financial advice and investment strategy.

Steve has also been actively involved in the world of professional sport, having represented and managed a number of high-profile athletes, including former Olympic boxing gold medallist Nicola Adams. These experiences reflect his entrepreneurial outlook, strategic mindset and ability to build successful relationships across a variety of industries.

Interesting Fact: Steve was once a Horse Racing Analyst for Sky Sports.
