Steve Goodwin
Financial Adviser / Mortgage and Equity Release Adviser
Our Managing Director, Steve has 40 years of experience in the insurance and financial service industry. Steve started out at Aviva where he worked for 5 years before setting up his own practice in 1985. Steve at that time had a drive and ambition to build a successful practice delivering transparency and good honest advice, a testament of which is that the vast majority of those clients from 1985 are still clients to this day.
Steve still retains the passion drive and integrity but the role he is most proud of is that of being a husband for 31 years and a father to Olivia and Joshua.
Steve’s strengths within the financial sector have also benefitted his other interests and passions in life. His ability to think and strategize several moves ahead have always been a key part of his financial services and have also established him as one of the UK’s top boxing Managers. Just as in finance, the art of managing boxers is to identify a plan of action not just for today but also for the future based upon variables and risk management. It has lead him to great success in the sport, handling a long list of champions and attracting top talent such as Olympic gold medallist Nicola Adams.
Interesting Fact: At the age of 15 Steve was ranked in the top 10 of the world at Chess for his age group.

Joshua Goodwin
Financial Adviser and Mortgage Adviser
Josh joined the family business in 2016 and has a long standing passion for the financial industry with his father running the business. Josh has developed his own skillset and rapidly went through the examination process before being fully qualified in December 2020. Josh is working with existing clientele whilst also assisting with new clients and helping them start to achieve their aspirations.
Josh has a long-term relationship with partner Kate and enjoys going to the theatre and has a passion for the sport of boxing (having once been a professional boxer). An avid Arsenal fan which can be very difficult at times, Josh spends a lot of his work-related time doing research and is looking forward to being a major part of developing the business going forward.
Interesting Fact: Josh retired as an undefeated professional boxer after winning his sole bout in 2016.
Amey Sinfield
Mortgage and Protection Adviser
Amey has been in the Mortgage & Protection Industry for nearly 10 years, starting as a Mortgage administrator and working her way to becoming a confident & exceptional Adviser. Since she began advising in 2016, Amey has built a great reputation for her expert knowledge and experience with all kinds of Mortgages. With no client being the same, Amey thrives in assisting all clients and makes sure she explores every option tailored to their needs, providing superb advice where possible for her clients and never working set hours, she is always willing to help and become available accommodating the clients needs.
Away from work, Amey is a big family lady and enjoys spending time her, Father, Nieces, Nephews, Siblings & her partner Joe. With a great passion for football and darts, Amey is the secretary of a local Saturday football club as well as Captains a dart team for a local pub. She also enjoys socialising with friends, holidays, eating out and watching films.
Linda McInerney
Office Manager/Paraplanner
Linda has had a tremendous amount of experience in the financial industry, spending lengthy periods working for Santander, Prudential, Financial Ombudsman and the Law Society.
Linda is responsible for running the office and ensuring that everything comes together and runs smoothly.
Linda is enjoying being part of the successful evolution of Goodwin Financial Services. Her caring nature and thoughtful character are shown both in the workplace with her colleagues and at home with her family.
In her spare time Linda enjoys going out for meals and to the theatre and taking regular holidays with husband Kevin.
Interesting Fact : Linda has been married for 43 years and says she deserves a gold medal for that alone.
Tricia Goodwin
Customer Service Assistant
Tricia has been married to Managing Director Steve for 31 years and has been with the business from the outset. Tricia was involved in developing the company from its infancy and still remains passionate about delivering customers goals, Tricia helps with report writing and liaising with clients.
Away from work Tricia looks after 4 dogs (mostly rescues) and enjoys country music, theatre and cinema.
Interesting fact: Tricia’s passion is for dog rescue and care and helps many charities.
Olivia Goodwin
Customer Service Assistant
Olivia joined the company in 2008 and now heads the team for business marketing whilst also working with clients on an ongoing basis arranging meetings and working to establish customer needs. With an expertise in the area of marketing, Olivia has been integral in helping ensure that Goodwin Financial Services are able to attract the right clientele that we can benefit.
Interesting Fact: In 2009 Olivia was interviewed on BBC TV after being the leading fund raiser for John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
Zoe Budgen
Administrator
Joining in May 2022, Zoe has many years of experience having been a team leader and managing a team of 60 people in her previous role.
Zoe is responsible for Steve’s diary, liasing with clients and preparing reports and analytics.
Zoe is married to Gregg and has one daughter Sienna.
In her spare time Zoe enjoys tree shaping and likes to fly kites. In her obsession with this you can see her regularly at Dunstable Downs.
Fun Fact: Zoe is the current the UK Champion for her tree shaping skills and hopes to represent team GB in the future.
Aaron Wagner
Trainee Financial Adviser / Client Relations
Aaron is the newest member of the GFS Team, joining in January of 2024. Aaron comes from a lengthy career in Events and Hospitality, working through management positions and looking after big teams and corporate companies.
Aaron thrives from building strong relationships with people and loves anything numerical – which led him to exploring a new career within Financial Services. He brings with him a burning passion to assist in the growth of the business, as he is currently sitting his exams in Financial Planning, with an aim to qualify by 2026.
Aaron is an avid tennis player and is often seen hitting double faults at his local tennis club.
Interesting Fact: Aaron was once mistaken for Harry Styles by a group of 100 tourists in the middle of New York City. (Rumour has it that most of the crowd had visual impairments)
